1. What is your biggest pain point when it comes to your business finances?
I feel totally clueless about my finances and shy away from it as it's too hard.
My business is making sales, I feel like I’m constantly working and on the verge of burnout, and the money I take home doesn’t correlate to the amount I work.
It's totally unpredictable, I never know how much cash I’m going to have or if I can pay my bills let alone how much money I can pay myself.
I don’t look at the numbers in my business and hope my accountant or bookkeeper will tell me what is going on.

2. How do you really feel about managing the money in your business?
I know I should keep up with my bookkeeping and run a Profit and Loss but I rarely do. I might enter transactions into Xero or a spreadsheet at the end of the year.
I don’t manage my cashflow. I use my credit card to pay bills when I don’t have cash in the bank and then don’t pay myself for months.
When I get a new client or make more sales I resent it because it means more work.
I find the numbers part of business overwhelming and confusing.

3. How would you describe your business spending?
I’m pretty careful with my spending but I never seem to have enough money to pay myself.
Money just flows in and out and I never know if I have enough income to pay my bills and pay myself every month.
I have a general idea of what I spend but need reports to help me track my costs.

4. How do you feel about the profitability of your business?
I don’t know if my business is profitable.
I feel like I work so hard but it is not printable no matter how hard I try.
It is profitable but only just and don’t know what I can do to improve it.
It is very profitable and I can pay myself a good monthly salary.

5. What’s your biggest struggle at tax time?
Do I have to pay tax or GST?
I do my own taxes, but don’t enjoy it and tend to scramble to get my receipts together.
I hold my breath and hope I don’t owe the government any money.
It frustrates me because I work so hard and have made hardly any profit.

All the back-end finance and admin are managed for me so I can focus on what I do best and love.

I do (sometimes) but I don’t really know what I’m doing.
